It was not a phrase Martha spoke often, but whenever she did the whole room seemed to silence and seize up. In this case, they knew it was the only answer. A hole in space roughly the size of a sportscar, had opened up somewhere in the middle of London. The last time such a thing had happened, Martha had been on holiday with Tom in the Bahamas and she'd missed speaking to the Doctor again. This time, there was no way she'd miss out. And if it were nearly as deadly as the last one...well, Martha wasn't about to take a chance.
She pulled out her mobile and stepped from the room into a small office---her office---to dial his number.
"Please," she murmured to herself. "Please don't be involved in this one."
It was his phone. Or her phone. Though...could it still be called hers? He'd seen her with a new one, it wasn't as if she still needed it, or used it. At this point it had been with him longer than with her, it seemed wrong to still consider it "her phone".
But then, it didn't exactly feel right to call it "his" either.
Somehow, in the near pitch darkness, he managed to find it in his pocket. The number calling him didn't exactly suprise him, nor did the voice that would eventually answer him.
