the other night, i caught a bit of the world vision informercials on TV..

lil girl lost both parents; only her and her brother; they live in a little shack no bigger than my bathroom.. I CRIED. Because earlier that day I was complaining at all my "problems". Spoiled, I am.

we've been so desensitized and detatched from the world that the only glimpse we really have of it is through the same box that shows us cartoons, comedy, drama and whatever junk society has deemed suitable.

the news is similarly just as filtered ... we're only allowed what is deemed appropriate and necessary at the time.
