Thank you so much for that sweet rec! I love that you picked a snippet that totally has the a lot of the core of this fic in it. (...thereby illuminating for me that that snippet has the core of the fic in it, LOL. Sometimes I'm not the most astute writer.)

What an amazing thing to hear, thank you! I always thought they handled s3 so weirdly, since the only point of that Dean-goes-to-hell arc (because you know he wasn't going there permanently, or there would be no show) was to see what character development stuff would occur when Sam and Dean were put in that situation. Which sort of just...didn't happen.

I'm here from adelate's rec, and I owe her one! This was great.

I've pretty much stopped reading SPN fic, and I thought it was because I was burned out, but...I think it's just because I don't want to read SPN fic with the new boys. This was fantastic, with Dean's awkwardness and honesty, and Sam's frustration and affection. And then a little Wincest, too!

Really enjoyable.

I'm so glad you liked it, since I totally empathize---I haven't read in the Supernatural fandom for a while either. The show lost me a little (although I'm still watching it) when s4 began and all the angels-and-apocalypse mythos really kicked in, so it makes me happy to have shared something from the show's more-enjoyable past with you here. ♥
