I didn't think I could start thinking of this place as anything but an unlucky bump along the already rocky road that is my life, but...

Even if I don't know why we're here, or when we'll get to leave, if we do at all, I've met some wonderful people, found friends I'd thought were lost for good, and...

Well, this is a Christmas I'll remember.

It does seem like a nice holiday.

It's always been my favorite. Despite being born right near it so my birthday presents always used to blur into Christmas, I still love it.

Yes, I was. I tried to find you, but you must've found a good hiding place because we didn't see you all night. I left you presents though, did you get them all right?

Uh. I wasn't hiding. I just found a strategic temporary refuge. That's it.
