Well, don't feel bad, I was the same. And I'm a so-called Ferrari. :)

You read my mind far to freely. I think we share lobes.

that's awesome. I saw that guy, a Brit, give a talk on change blindness. While the audience was watching the video, he changed places with an American who looked like him and sported a fake British accent. 15 seconds after the distracting video ended, people started laughing and they continued for about a minute as the remainder of the audience slowly caught on. I replicated the trick during a 300 person psych one lecture, with my 6'2" short-black haired swedish roommate, zentiger. The audience caught on fairly quickly, he deflected attention to the other side of the room, and we switched again. One girl didn't notice anything amiss!

Where'd you see the talk? Maybe he'll get invited to TED some time, and I can watch it online later.

What's TED?

Richard Wiseman goes to James Randi's conference every year, which is where I saw him. His talk was uniformly funny, from start to finish, and I asked him how he managed to do that. Apparently he practices before groups of comics, who give him feedback. I also asked him for advice on teaching, and he told me never to do a demonstration unless you're 100% practiced and know it will work flawlessly.
