Kids Are Really Bad Judges of Age

Today's adventure, so far anyway, was playing basketball at the school across the street. I've been trying to get myself to get out of the house and either run with the dog, jump rope, or play ball so I break a sweat everyday and try to get myself into some semblance of shape. You and those little boys. The other day when we were throwing the frisbee, I was gratefully thinking how the little boys don't usually ask to join in. I was thinking of that kid who always wanted to play basketball with you and me back in Oakland. I just can't stand to have my butt kicked by kids half my size and a quarter my age.

That's a good point. I was happy to share today, but I know I'm not always going to be into the idea, especially if I actually feel like doing much. As fun as it would be to run all around them, block all their shots, and bellow in a manly fashion, it just doesn't seem cool somehow.

I forgot about the kids in Oakland. I don't have a very good picture of that, actually. I'm OLD.

You think you have it bad? A couple of years ago, Carey made a little friend while we were waiting for our food at Pockets, and when I came in after parking the car, the little one looked at me and asked Carey, "Es tu papa?" (Except with correct Spanish spelling and accents, of course.)
