Who at housekeeping has good taste?! I'm amazed... (Is it Janelle? That actually wouldn't surprise me...)

I loved Eternal Sunshine and Lost in Translation, but I couldn't get into Garden State (though the soundtrack is exquisite). What is that people (or just you) like so much about it? I couldn't really identify with anyone in it...

No, its not Janelle. She has pretty decent taste in music sometimes (although when I made her listen to Mars Volta, she DID call them "Spanish Emo" and could nt understand why I d want someone to sing half in another language, but I let it slide), but I let her and her boyfriend borrow The Life Aquatic, which I ve watched about five times since I bought the expensive special edition and it is also in my top 5, and she said it was boring. I dont think she like Eternal Sunshine much either. Its this dude Ben at work, hes kind of a liberal hippie and he ll talk to you about anything, hes a pretty cool guy, and knows alot about useless subjects, like rock climbing, golf, music, and politics. I liked Garden State because I thought something like that could actually happen. A guy who is on heavy meds and has basically been an emotional invalid most of his life could easily open up to a beautiful, somewhat neurotic girl that is capable of making anyone smile. I loved Natalie Portman in it, how she basically saved him and he saved her ( ... )

I love Lost in Translation. I don't own many movies because I fear I will never watch them, but I actually do own that one and watch it sometimes :)

Ohhhh yeah, I forgot that you love that movie too, I think you would have good taste in movies too (you d probably like the Life Aquatic), but we dont really talk enough so I m not sure what you like. Hopefully we can fix that soon and maybe I can talk you this weekend or somethin. We STILL have never just sat down and hung out and watched movies n shit.
