FUCK Valentines Day. I may not have had many girlfriends in my life, but I've had one on most of the important holidays (Christmas, birthday, shit even Easter), but NEVER ONCE have I had someone to spend money on on Valentines Day. FUCK this stupid hallmark, cash-in-on-hopeless-romantics like me holiday.

Somewhere there was a comment I left you and somewhere there was a response from you. Or else I made it up. But in this fantasy I had, you asked me about the Joyce class. Well. Frankly, I think it sucks. Foster's great but the students in there are apathetic at best, and unless the quiet ones are misleading, I think I might be the only one reading the stuff cover to cover. It's mostly kids whining that they don't "get it." I wish Foster lectured more-- mostly just hands it over to the few people in there who make the same halfhearted comments and ask the same vague questions. It makes me anxious and depressed being in there. Most English classes do, though.

We just started Ulysses... Only 50ish pages through so far. It was heaven revisiting Portrait-- what a sublime thing...
