Before we get to the review I would like to reccomend a band that may be to metal what Guns 'N Roses was to Hard Rock:

Ladies and Gentlemen, Halestorm! Look 'em up, you won't be disappointed. I should warn you that some (Okay, most) of the songs aren't. . . work friendly, just an FYI.

Have you read any Harold Lamb?You'll like Harold Lamb. A man with a very interesting life who wrote well about interesting times. H's also mostly better than REH. Start with Swords from the West.
