Notes: The kiss in the common room (HBP, chapter: Sectumsepra). I think I drew the lineart in summer, coloured it in autumn and added the shadows in winter... A seasonal post, so ^^

This is just wonderful. The posture, the colouring, the lines. In fact, it's so good that I can't stop myself from asking you an annoying question: what program do you use to paint with? I use a tablet (and I'm assuming, for the sake of my self esteem, that you do also) and photoshop7 to colour/paint. I want to get into Painter or one of those art-specific programs with lots of brushes, but I'm not sure which one is best. I can download any of them and try them all out, of course, but I'm thinking of buying an in-depth guide to a painting program at Chapters and want to know which program to buy for. Am I making any sense?

Anyway, what program do you use? Any particular brushes? Any tutorials (online or otherwise) that you have found helpful?

I know I'm being presumptuous, and don't feel like you have to answer. I'll take anything you got :)

Anyway, awesome art. Ginny's hair especially is what prompted me to comment. I wish the hair I paint would look like that!

I use mainly Corel Painter 9 (Photshop only to resize parts of the drawing and practical stuff like that) I really like it, personnally. Very easy and fluent.

I use the detail airbrush for both lineart and colouring. As fot the tutorials, I have got only one (but it's in French... sorry ^^')

That's the one I began with a couple of years ago, pretty simple and porposing 3 different colourings (2D, watercolour and airbrush)

This is excellent! It looks so good and real - Ginny's hair, the folds in their clothing, etc. It's so good I want to try and turn them around so I can see more of them, and I'm frustrated that I can't! I'll have to see if I can find other drawings by you somewhere.
