I was reading an article on WTOP.com about the people in line for marriage license this morning and HOLY COW... some of the hateful comments people have posted are just astonishing. I know these kinds of people exist, but it's never really dawned on me that they're so ubiquitous.

I will never understand people who feel compelled to comment on something that doesn't affect them at all! If they don't like gay marriage, they don't have to have or attend one!
