Ibrahim Ferrer, the well known Cuban musician passed away. Not like I knew him or had really heard that much of his stuff, but I know enough of his presence in the musical world to pay a moment of respectful silence. Or maybe it's more apt that I just go listen to Chan Chan.

Great singer. Buena Vista really opened a lot of doors for the real music of Cuba to be heard outside the island (by Europeans).
