2:47am and still not sleeping

It's early in the morning and I can't fall asleep (again) so I decided to write some stuff down on LJ. Just saw Ray last night for the first time and after seeing I had two very clear thoughts. 1) I love the music he wrote and 2) Ray Charles Robinson is a complete asshole. My Grandmother hated him. She meet him once or twice (she used to work in some fashion with music). She refused to have anything that had to deal with him because he was a jackass the few times they meet. It's one of those things that is funny to ask about after she has had a few scotchs and just let her slip into a rant. She is always much more relaxed after that.

Yeah, it's always fun to listen to older people rant after they have had something to drink cause not only can they get really passionate about it, but they'll sometimes bring up stuff they wouldn't talk about on a regular basis. I used to always love talking to my grandfather about different stuff. Now he always was drinking so this could happen at any time, but it was still a great thing.
