Trivia on the upcoming (in 2007) Night Watch 3 (Dusk Watch):

Filmed in English, since it is co-financed by Fox, whereas the first two parts of the trilogy were made in Russian.

God no... leave art alone. Can we please bomb America out of existence? You know... the whole "Nuke the site from orbit" cliche? It's the only way to be sure!

Okay, the sequel was called Night Watch 2: Day Watch... I'm fine with that.

But Night Watch 3: Dusk Watch? That's got to be fucking lies.

What's after that? Night Watch 4: Brunch Watch? Night Watch 5: Midnight Snack Watch? Night Watch 6: I'm Not Really All That Hungry Right Now, But Seeing You're Going To McDonalds Anyway, Can You Get Me Some Fries And A Small Coke Watch?

Well for one thing, dusk is where day becomes night... light gives away to darkness... therein lies the symbolism.

For another thing, they're based on a trilogy of novels, from whence the titles are also drawn.

Of course I can't go flaunting knowledge of literary devices and not notice the sarcastic irony. Hang on... is that a known term, or did I just invent it to describe your modes of speech??

I'm sure more interesting things would come to the forefront when the event actually came to pass. When the dust settled, however, foreign film would certainly have a stronger place in our market.

Is it still ironic if I was mindful of that when choosing the quote? The last bit I choose to take as a compliment.
