It Looks Like Pico Will Survive

Last Sunday, April 25, I returned home after dinner at my brother's.  All the dogs except one came out to greet me.  I walked into the garage and Pico (see icon and post below) came out from behind the pickup truck.  Although it was fairly dark, I could see that he had been terribly injured.  I said, "Oh Pico, what's happened to you?"  The left ( Read more... )

Every doctor that treats Pico says what a tough dog he is. And some of them also say what a sweet dog he is.

My goodness, that's terrible! I can't imagine! I'm very happy that poor Pico is alive and will be able to recover. Best wishes for the easiest possible recovery.

I am adding you as a friend as a fellow dog lover, Missourian and Atheist. :) I've only read a few posts, but I've enjoyed reading.

Just read this post and wanted to wish Pico goodluck in his recovery. I can't even imagine what it would be like to have your dog get shot, especially on your own property if that was the case.

Goodluck to you with the vet bills too, I'm certain he's worth it :D

The tough dog is doing very well in his recovery. Final operation, I hope, is on the coming Tuesday.

Thanks. When he gets out of the hospital this time, I think he will be pretty well healed. I'll post a longer entry and a picture of the new Pico.
