Dwane Heaton

I was looking through some old photos of the time when I worked for Bendix Kansas City in the 1970's, and came across a photo o a guy I worked with:  Dwane Heaton.  Dwane was one of the nicest and most likable guys you'd ever want to meet.  Everybody just loved him.  When I saw the photo, I thought, "How did I ever lose touch with him?"  Very few ( Read more... )

That seems to be the way of it. :( Many of my friends from way back- I go to find them and end up awkwardly hitting up a relative to find out they've passed.

Do you have a scanner? Think he'd mind posting the picture?

For myself, I think that although lack of time is the main reason I can't keep up with all the friends I've known in life, I also sometimes feel a slight hesitation at the sad things I may uncover.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend, it sounds really cheesy to say but it happens to the best of us :( I don't mean that as casually as it might sound since that phrase is thrown around frequently. Two years ago my uncle went through an awful devorce His wife of over ten years announced she was a lesbian and had found someone else, she gets off Scotfree to live hapilly ever after six months later my uncle whose by that point moved in with my parents (they have a big house with another house built on site) is diagnosed with advanced blood cancer. After a year of really,really rough treatment he's finally recovering :) and despite all that crap I guess he's one of the luckier ones :( I truely wish your friend was too
