Day one

Well, today was my first day at the Planned Parenthood clinic. A little more emotional than I thought it might be, but I'm sure my PMS factors into that ;) It was hard to stand back and watch a guy try to harrass his girlfriend (wife?) into leaving - eventually she came in, and brought him with her ( Read more... )

that sucks that the woman couldn't bring her child in, and couldn't find a person to watch her child. The PP I work at doesn't have any trouble with patients bringing in children, but I suppose they always have another friend/partner to watch them if they are having a procedure done.

It surprises me, actually. I can remember a few times when I've seen whole familes going in together, although never with infants -- usually with very young but walking children.

I've definitely seen the spectrum from infants to toddlers.

I certainly understand the reasoning behind not wanting infants in the waiting room - it's hard enough for some women to be there let alone have an infant there with you...
The woman with the child wasn't there for any services, we took her out to her car and she went over to a friend's house to wait.
