I always feel such an obligation when friends are coming into the city to make sure that everything that happens is wonderful and exciting...when really most of what happens in NYC is just like every other damn city, and also, the most fun things in the city are hanging out with other people in the city, which is hard to do if you're a visitor

mm...same here. Two people visited and I felt like I had to keep every moment busy and fascinating to live up to their expectations of the exciting NYC life. Really I didn't have to try so hard. Everything was exciting for my friends from Hawaii and Tennessee. Hope spring break was awesome!
