[Pimpin'] [LARP Thinking] Invictus, you say?

AIGHT, so.

After a rocky start and a whole lot of confusion, there appears to be a Thing Called Invictus. And, thank god, it has an FAQ, which addresses a mess of "Snuh?" -issues I had with the concept. (Slavery? Real World vs Fantasy Version Thereof? But Wait, I Am A Girl, Can I Play Too?)

(Why do I suddenly care? Because Bakeneko moved into my spare ( Read more... )

if they need a spavined, crippled former fighter or something I can sit in a heap somewhere and spew vulgarity sprinkled with plot tidbits or something.

I have been contemplating the possibility of pcing this..A ton of folks from my SCAdian family are happily and heavily involved in one of the larger teams. (StormCrows). If they do get around to playing at Brantwood, the teensy commute makes it even more attractive a proposition...

Hi Hi! As the Primus of said Storm Crows let me thank you for the plug and possible contribution to the NPCs ranks. On the PC side of things, we are working to be the kind of PCs folks enjoy running plot for. We are approaching Invictus with the attitude of a "Shared, Collaborative storytelling experience" focus. We are working to create cool PC driven IG spaces over and above those provided by the generous staff.

Since we are one of the larger teams, we work to "set a tone" of inclusiveness and cooperation among all the PCs. If we look out for one another in and out of game, it's a better weekend for everyone.

I hope to see many more folks, in Illara!

Oh wow, that's really exciting! I of course know you by reputation (having played Nero, like, ever), and we'd love to have you! If you get a chance, shoot us a note about what you're thinking of playing? I must confess to being wildly curious. plot@invictuslarp.com

Dates haven't happened yet, but it's our hope to be at Brantwood in the spring (not so much with the winter option, brrr).

I've had of course the well known scribe/ healer/ librarian character, and I also played a black sabretooth sarr fighter who was the"muscle" for the Wildlamds Thieves Guild. At this point I think I may be a bit too old and creaky to do a full on combat character any justice, so I would guess, without having delved into the system too deeply that some form of healer/scribe is likely in the cards here. As to nationality, Illaran or Rellian seem most likely, given my stocks of existing garb..
