That makes sense on the rock cairns, but this was for the big viewpoint where you only went a few hundred yards or so, and followed the railing thing you see in the background the whole way. You can also see the viewpoint from the car, and the car from the viewpoint. I just figured it was the disturbing nature thing... And I also thought the little guy in the picture on the sign was funny, standing on one foot like that.

Was the 8 mile hike you took the one where you found the sign about the poisonous gases where you took a funny picture?
