Nablowrimo

So I have decided to take the challenge of writing in my blog every day for the month of November. I seem to be unable to maintain any type of narrative for that length of time but perhaps I can do unconnected pieces consistently ( Read more... )

ooh! yay, more clio! this is a great idea and, while i don't think that i have it in me to write a whole story for nanowrimo this year, my blog needs to be blogged in more than it has been so i think you may be on to something here. i shall attempt to join you in daily blogging for november!

ummm... have you seen that list that rye_bunny is chipping away at? there are some good suggestions for topics there if you're in a pinch.

other topics that i would be happy to read about:
- anything to do with the wee one. i, for one, enjoy hearing what sort of shenanigans he's up to.
- if you could choose one talent (that you do or don't have right now) to excel at, what would it be and why would you choose it?
- worst dating experience ever.
- favourite book/series and why.
- what your aspirations/expectations for your life were when you were in high school vs. what actually happened.
- worst book you ever read and why.
- bonus points!: write the worst sex scene that you can. lots of purple prose and horrifying metaphors!

It will be so nice to read your entries. I, myself, am so hopeless lately when it comes to writing that I can't even imagine taking on the challeng. But I will cheer you on.

I can't think of anything that super creative to ask you to write about. But I would love love love to read some sort of coming of age memories you have of.. Powel River, yes? I'd really love to hear your take on your town. and how it's helped form who you are.

what else... why not write an entry where you are writing from the perspective of one of your favorite fictional characters. if they sat down to write an entry, what would they want to write about, what diction would they have, etc.

and finally, what's the one most solid and important belief you have and what has it meant to your life, or how has it manifested in your day to day existence. (this does not have to be a religious belief, just a belief, any belief. "I believe .... "

Hmm, writing about PR will be challenging. My emotions are very mixed up about that place. But these are all good ideas that should fuel some interesting blog writing.

This blog? (Just making sure, so that I'm already following it! Haha.)

Maybe I'll join you guys.... how many words would you have to write per day to be able to hit the mark? All of mine would be about the same thing though....

What is the one thing (maybe besides family and friends, more like... an idea, or a concept, or change) that you would really sacrifice to fight for?

You should post about your cats. ;) Cats rule.

Absolutely this blog. I don't have the energy to make another.

If you want to hit 50,000 words then you need to write 1667 a day. I expect I should be able to do that no problem. I mastered the 1000 word essay once upon a time. The hard part is finding time to sit and write.

Cats should fill at least a few days worth of blogs. I will try and throw in the occasional picture for interest too.
