Don't sweat it! I'm also fairly unfortunate when it comes to tasting things, it comes in handy though because I can eat pretty much anything. I remember one thanksgiving years ago where the turnip was so bitter no one would eat it (about 20 people), except me. I thought it was great.

I'm guessing you might be a bit more sensitive when it comes to tasting, so don't take the pepper personally.

It isn't the pepper that bothers me so much as the fact that he doesn't want to learn how to cook anything. That puts a lot of pressure on me as the sole cook in the house.

He actually reacts to bitter much more strongly than I do so he may be a supertaster. It would account for a lot of his veggie dislikes.

I do taste the bitter strongly in a lot of things but I enjoy it when blended with other flavours. Though I can't drink black tea or coffee so I may be close to a supertaster too.

oh boy, this is what i have to look forward to? if my boy is anything like my Big boy, then i won't have to worry, i'll have the opposite problem. there will not be enough food in the house to feed him. lol.

I wish I had that problem. Right now the only things that Alexander will reliably eat are corn bran and grapes. Makes trying to get balanced meals in him kind of difficult.

It will be fun for you to find out!
