Is it better to be a liar but have every1 think you're telling the truth? or to tell the truth but have every1 think you're lying?

alrighty..
me being the little liar myself..i'd say lie and have everyone think you're telling the truth. like, think about it. if you tell the truth and everyone thinks you're lying, what's the point? the point of being real to yourself? that's bullshit. why be real to yourself when you're the only one who takes it seriously? everyone ends up being happy if they think they know the truth, and if theyre happy, you're happy.
i mean...i'm such an asshole for even saying all that, but it's how i do. and i end up telling the truth like a year later. so all turns out well. and i also don't know your situation.
