an order to restrain

i didn't realize till just a second that i shook george clinton's hand yesterday. this has definitely been a big hand shake year for me. stretch armstrong and thursday both asked me to tour for them. it was a long sober night. and the place was hot as fuck, body to body it was like libertyville highschool in the dark in august. there was no place ( Read more... )

Listen. Don't start hiding behind walls and wookie body guards dressed in mandalorian body armor. The reason YOU are so fucking amazing and cool is because you're one of us. Okay, maybe none of us are in XXL, but you are (in your heart) the common geek. That is your appeal. Guys like me who have been picked on, made fun of, and even cried (although I will never admit to that) about being different can look to a guy like you (who is living our dream) and can say "Hey, maybe there is some light at the end of the tunnel". I don't expect fame, too old for that shit as far as I can tell, but what you have shown me (In the light at the end of the tunnel kinda way) is that I can be myself and have a bunch of people think that not only is that perfectly alright, but it's kinda cool ( ... )

not a sad post when you just got back from a bumpin party where you get to know industry types!

I think you should add more comedy with your profanity. you were hilarious in eugene, but definitely nonsense profane at PAX. excellent job though.

It's nice to be able to see your journal and read about
stuff, maybe just turn the comments off if it bothers
you, but think of it as something to remember who it is
out there with headphones on connecting and feeling it.
I think with a huge forum and whatnot, people come in to
bullshit and bring drama that forums have. It becomes
like a schoolyard or recess. I treat your jounral like a year-
book, the only things i will leave are encouragement.

I think its shitty that when you talk to people nowadays,
they were all "outcasts" in school, when you know for god-
damn sure they'd be all over with the cool kids. I'm sure
you might see them, i'm sure you might talk to them. Rem-
ember that some kids who really feel and connect will more
than likely never have any chance to talk to you, this
might be just their peek over the fence.

Damn this got all long-winded like mr.fantastic at taco bell.

the only time i ever posted on this..later i felt gay as hell, because all your fans post on this, and i cant imagine youd give a fuck. but this entry actually made me think of something that i needed to say. just..all the shit about noone listening to your jokes or whatever, which you played off as nothing, but since your last entry was preparing for it? and you actually spent time on it? and planned on giving it to an audience? it was more than nothing. and im kinda drunk, sorry this doesnt make sense but i dont know if you even read it so i assume it doesnt matter, but.. as famous as you get, just keep doing your own thing, doing things that make you nervous and might not be crowd-pleasers is good- because that means if even like one person is impressed? that's gotta feel way better than if 10000 people are impressed at something else. sorry if this doesnt make sense. i heard you were playing at a venue near me and im really excited. good luck with everything

>if i let them down they can't wait to write a letter or write a post.

I just need to say that there's a big difference between being let down and being chewed out. Especially for something that never happened.
