Oooh wisdom teeth removal, fun... I was semi-awake for mine (since they weren't that impacted, apparently), and the worst thing about it was this device they put in your mouth to keep it open super-wide - y'know so they can get way back in there. It's like the dental jaws of life... seriously, it had a little jack and everything. *shudder* Actually that was the worst part of the whole thing for me, even afterwards; my gums themselves never hurt, but I got KILLER headaches from jaw pain. But, on the plus side, you really don't see anything blood-and-guts wise. It's a tad hard to see inside your own mouth and they have that suction dealy.

Good luck with it! And aftewards you can have soft, yummy ice cream! :D

though my milk fat allergy doesn't. Yeah, one of my good friends from high school had the same message of warning regarding the jaws of life. She said her jaw muscles were sore for a few days. I guess I'm just lucky I was able to go this long without having them removed.

About the wisdom teeth - I only had to have 2 removed so they didn't put me under. BIG MISTAKE! The CO2 was making me sick, so they had to stop giving me so much - so I guess I wasn't loopy enough for the experience. I cried. It didn't hurt but I could still feel what they were doing. Maybe if you can handle the gas, you will be okay - but I still have my reservations.

It does save a lot of money though - and it really speeds up your recovery. After my surgery I popped up out the chair - according to my dad - and walked around and ate some soup. My sister could hardly move around without help after she had hers taken out after being put under.
