Well, mine didn't involve the potential of being blown up. Let's say she did hit me at the incredible speed of 5 mph...knocked up kneecaps v. blown to smithereens (sp?)

I think you had the creepier experience, my friend.

LOL. I actually wasn't really worried about an explosion. But just the fact that gas was filling up my apartment all night, man, I was lucky to wake up!

But having your kneecaps knocked out is no picnic either. Sure, Marty McFly makes getting hit by cars look easy, but I've heard that it really isn't.

I hate drivers who don't watch for pedestrians. Since I walk everywhere in DC - I feel pretty vunerable walking, because it isn't like my bodily self walking on the sidewalk can stop a car speeding at me - I can't even be sure to get out of the way if they are going too fast. But maybe that is the chance we take to be more environmental friendly, get in some extra exercise, and also to not have to deal with the inconvenience of driving/parking a car in a big city.

Otherwise - sounds like your summer job is awesome! Lots of hands on stuff - sounds super interesting - keep the science nerds like me updated on how a different field operates...
