Gasp! I figured you for more a Hans Zimmer man (plus Mad Men) when it came to soundtracks. I am now reconfiguring my picture of your character. But maybe I'd never taken your Buffy!love into account. Hmm!
I actually like Bat for Lashes a lot -- it sounds like the auditory version of Miss Havisham's house, I think. Her lyrics are a bit ... spotty, though.
I have this irrational loyalty to whichever song I hear first, regardless of whether it's the cover or the original, which is stupid and reactionary, but there you have it.
Thanks bebita! <3 Honestly, neither did I until I tripped into it a few weeks back. It's a bit like the Black Eyed Peas. Do I have a good feeling? Can I meet you half way? Am sufficiently like a cunning rich teenager in New York City to get my pathos on? Superficially, the answer is no, but something about coming in contact with the medium in question changes you in the process, or at least lets you fake similarity brilliantly -- you Charlie Sheen it. You go along with it, and something about that fake-it-'til-you-make-it process lets you ... make it.
It's four in the morning and this ain't no cogent comment.
