there are a lot of really good reasons not to vote ron paul, not the least of which is that he's staunchly pro-life. for every issue i'm in big agreement with him on there's another that i am in wild disagreement.
the fact that ron paul was not taken seriously as a viable candidate says nothing about how stupid americans are and everything about how bad he is at 1) raising money and 2) not sounding like a squeaky lunatic. which, i suppose, are things an intelligent person could overlook, but still.
actually he isn't staunchly pro-life, but wants to keep the laws in the hands of the states and not make it a federal mandate. if elected, he certainly would never push for a repeal of roe v. wade or an amendment.
