I had a completely different idea for this, but this is what happened. Schmoop. Utter, schmoop. I thought it was adorable so I ran with it.

That - is awesome. I can completely see Danny having that sort of patient amusement coupled with Martin-exasperation. I love that you played to canon - that everyone else seemed to know about Sam's pregnancy and talk to her about it *except* Martin, and that Martin still has feelings for Sam at some level. I really really like this whole interpretation.

Okay see, here's the thing. I caught like the last three of season six and maybe one or two mixed in. I didn't even see the one where Danny brings Sam a baby present. I had no idea that Martin didn't talk with her about the pregnancy until you just told me.

So um... very nice comment because it just mean I have not lost touch with my Martin that I can not see the show for like two years and still get him.

Dear god, maybe. We'll see if I can write more. I miss them.

yeah, it wasn't a bad season per se, but we never had a Martin-Sam scene about the baby, even though he knew, obviously, at least by the end when it's hard to miss. You're also right in that there's no real way to know if Danny and Elena are still together; we never see a reference to it after the ep earlier in the season where he tells her about the kid with the gun in the alley. I think we're supposed to assume it because Sam tells Elena first about he baby and then in the next ep, Danny shows up with a baby present for her that she's nervous about having anyone see.

You do need to do more of these stories though, the 'uncle' series! I'd love to see more of Danny and Martin as you interpret them!!

GEEEE! *squeals* I love this. I love reading about them being all domestic and normal, and arguing about baby shoes.
