We took the Shasta to Provincetown for Bear Week.
Not being big party-goers, the non-stop party atmosphere was, well, not us, really. Still, it was relaxing and relatively entertaining for a couple of old farts.

I have been there only once, about 15 years ago, but definitely enjoyed it, (twice ...*wink, wink*). They have different themes for each weekend over the summer, and a nice pool.
I know exactly what you mean about low-level discomfort. Even though I drive a macho-looking rusty Ram pickup, I sometimes catch some flack for my bumper sticker that reads: "Unfit to Serve, Impeach Trump".
