A Year Without Mom

So here we are a year later.  It's been an interesting year, having lost  my biggest focal point, casting about for something as important; my  marriage comes close, but isn't so monumental a charge.  Still, every  day I catch myself making room for mom in my life.  It's been quite an  adjustment.

I can imagine, that's a big change.

There's a scene towards the end of Torch Song Trilogy where the mother (in the movie, Anne Bancroft) describes this kind of loss really eloquently, at least I thought so.
