These days, LJ seems like such a graveyard that its pretty much Friends Only by default.

What prompted the decision? getting some spam or something?

LJ has gone relatively silent... but I think it's true that the people who persist in posting to LJ are in agreement - to be used for longer posts, when one-line Facebook status witticisms just don't cut it.

That and it's really hard to get a "history" from facebook. Stuff is posted, then is washed away in the flood of crap. It's more static here.

Oh yah. I'm not actually booting anyone...I just realized some of my friends used to come here and not login. I've defaulted to friends only on my posts, and it probably looks like I've stopped posting. So I figured I'd add the note about friends only.
