It's been months and months of hard work and reconfiguring according to any regular calendar. Even according to their messed-up flow of time (where days repeat endlessly and weeks crawl along), it's been a good long while. But then, what Doc's been planning is not something you want to mess up

The rest of the gang is already out there -- Marty, Victor, Alice, and Dee. They regard Doc with a mixture of excitement and nervousness as he appears on the scene. "So -- you really think you're ready?" Marty says, half-smiling.

"As ready as I'll ever be," Doc replies, running his fingers through his hair. "We've gone over those calculations to allow for time travel in this world about fifteen times at the least, haven't we Dee?"

"Yup!" Dee says, smiling. She's the least-nervous of them all, but maybe that's because she knows her Daddy will be with her throughout this. And she firmly believes her Daddy can do anything. "We should be good to go!"

Doc smiles back at her, bolstered by her confidence in him. It really helps when the machine herself believes in you that much. "Right. Let's get going, then. Dee, if you could?"

Dee obligingly shifts into her car form, popping open the driver's side door. Doc circles around the front, then looks at his friends. "Wish me luck?"
