Well, had a pretty mediocre New Years, as always. I have never had a good one. I keep trying to make it a resolution for the next year that I will attend a good party and be surrounded by friends and have immense fun, but it's really cemented itself as The Holiday That Never Works Out(tm ( Read more... )

Awww No! I've left it too late! I'm leaving Friday and my next two days are filled with pleasing my folks! I hope you had a good new year. Hmmm.. I don't think I've seen you for almost two years now! I should be back in a few months though.
Are you ever around in Tasmania?

You're talking about fantasy books right? I don't think I've read fantasy since I was in year 10. So I thought I'd give my horror, crime, thriller books a rest and get a fantasy book. I chose Strange Dreams (short stories of fantasy). One of them was about this monster fish baby that kept latching onto this guy's face (story by Orson Scott Card)! It was so scarey I couldn't sleep for ages (or maybe it was the 32 degree C summer night heat). It was worse than some of my horror books!
