I never do anything adventurous with my hair. Mostly as I don't particularly care how it looks, and only go to get it cut cause it getting in my eyes is rather annoying. XD I like to get the most value out of my 10 haircut I get from the mall.
You should post a picture of what your new hairdo looks like when its done. I promise not to laugh if it doesn't come out looking nice.
...Well I can't promise that, but after I'm done laughing I promise I'll appoligize in the most thoughtful manner possible. :)
I might post a photo, but only if it doesn't look completely ridiculous. >_<
I can afford to do weird things with my tresses, because as I said, my hair grows very fast. ^_^ So at least if I hate something I've done, it'll grow out quickly.
I'd reccommend the Academy in the Elizabeth St Mall. It's up above Citronic Cafe, I believe. They run classes there in hairdressing, so they'd probably love for you to come in and ask one of the instructors to do something adventurous. That or they could at least refer you to a place that would do it. Good luck!
Ohh! I'll post more on it later. I gotta be careful how much I say, because the curator knows where my lj is and has read it. And I'm not sure how much about the exhibition is meant to be disclosed...
There's actually a photo of it at mum and dad's house, but the photo's too dim to make it out - my hair just looks dark red all over. Seb has a better photo - but I'm posed stupidly, so don't expect me to upload that one. :D
You're lucky with your hair anyway, you probably don't need to cut it much. Mine just turns into split ends if it gets any longer than shoulder length. I always wanted waist-length hair growing up, but as an adult I gave up when I accepted my frizzy, splitty genetics. :p
I found some photos eventually, but they printed very grainy and a bit indistinct. I guess it'll serve me right if I get a grainy, indistinct haircut. :p

Easy. You're an artist- draw it. :D
(Or, better yet, upload a photo (or a caricature) and have us lot in the peanut gallery draw it for you)
