Oh. See, what I hate is that Chord was brought on to play Kurt's interest but then apparently they saw Chord and Agron's chemistry and decided they would put them together ( ... )

The streisand garland version?

YES OF COURSE.
(But I still boodle along onto the video while I write this comment.)
It's only two of my favourite people ever singing wonderfully. TOGETHER.

But what I loved about the R and K version was that it wasn't really like a joy of singing with each other, it was a joy of singing. It was about the idea that they could be divas playing divas and they fit together. Actual friendship or not.

AM I MAKING SENSE?! NO!

no i get it/// the motivation of the song was more 'personal' to their characters than the s/g version.

hope for not being lonely... for finding personal peace...

And yet they were able to - still - channel the classic styles and delivery of s/g... i don't watch glee every week... i'm a reluctant fan of the show... but i have to say that that performance sold me on the skills and the amazingness of the show/actors.

Oh. I know what you mean. The thing is, the show undersells its stars. And sometimes the flashiness overshadows the actual talent.
Give them the classics, let them be. It's perfect.
