I don't understand people who feel they have to justify everything their favourite character/protagonist does. Stop being apologists, fandom! You can like someone who's a dick (heck, because they're a dick). Mr. Rochester is not a very nice man, and that's ok. 'Cause he's interesting. I love how the trailer acknowledges the inherent darkness and Not Niceness of the story.

This is why I like the characters I like: tend to be because they are dicks. To the utmost.
Take a certain Mr. St. James, if he stops being a bastard, I'm not enjoying that. I won't apologise for him being a tool, it's a part of his inherent charm.
I hate this fandom POV that says to love a character, you have to love everything they do.
