Well, Christmas came much earlier. The BigBad gave me my gift last weekend - and still i've not had a chance to update here. lol. It is a lovely ACER Aspire One! This thing rocks! 160gig HD and its as big as a large paperback, and weighs nothing.

Nice gift. I find I am compelled to use MS Office because other people send me things which OpenOffice cannot deal with. :(

Congrats on your photoshoot!

I am afraid I can't say precisely, but I've seen all sorts of difficulties with formatting Word files and some issues with Excel, especially anything very specific like tables or weird margins - but I don't know off-hand say which version of which program or specifically what causes the problems (mainly with OpenOffice running on Linux machines).

cheers,

yeah...
I really hope this will be the start of something bigger. "Pretty Dead Girl" has some Fantastic ideas and concepts and seems to really know how to put toghether amazing things. I really am sure the photos will come out well. Can't wait to see them. I don't expect any for a week or so - we'll see.

"I'm officially On Vacation now... I've got a zillion projects to do, the house to clean, my workspace to organize."

And friends to get together with! I have lots to do over the holidays, too, but it would be great to see you and catch up in person some time. Last week I was house-/cat-sitting for Averill while she and family were at Disney and several times I drove up your street on my way there, looked at your place to see if it was dark or lit, and wondered how you and TBB are doing.

LOL
so true. We got another 7 or 8 inches last night. I think the problem with the weather here is that Toronto doesn't handle it well. We're a big city right on the edge of the lake... and the lake effect means we don't get a lot of snow like everywhere else (except Vancouver). When the ill-equipped city gets 16 inches of snow in 2 days its chaos. We've got street parking on very old and narrow streets which means that there will be cars stuck for a week. There's all those stupid condos and construction sites - which seem to be dropping sheets of glass off the windows everywhere. Add in the fact that over 50% of the population of 3mil is not from Canada - most are immigrants - it just becomes a mess.

lol - Toronto!

nope, wasn't even close to a blizzard... just a big dump of snow :D

Vermont is supposed to be beautiful and ski country right? I know when i lived in Montreal it was "the place to go".
