i've heard that it's better not to have a teacher sometimes. You have to be self-driven and WANT to learn. I guess it's because guitar is very much about loving the music. But who knows... Danielle would argue that every instrument is worth being passionate about...

yeah but the point is that no one can force you to. You HAVE to want to badly enough to at least try to do it yourself and practice. practice, practice. Even the boring stuff. It's no picnic.

if it were a picnic, what would be to love? if it's just practice... it's not music. if you're too lazy, then don't waste your time. you won't love the music, you won't PLAY it. (not to be insulting... just that... you have to love it to PLAY it.

Holly, I totally support you taking guitar lessons! I'm sure if you practice, you'll be fabulous! and even if you're not, I'll still listen to you play. you're going to be even hotter than before, if that's even possible.

I read back on what I said. I didn't mean for it to sound like I was discouraging you from taking lessons! I was trying to say that you needed to realize that not even a teacher can MAKE you if you don't have the drive. (I know this from experience. ::is guilty of what Danielle says:: XD)
