I was always kind of sad we never found out what John's plan for handling the situation was, unless it was "wait for the CIA to come collect, then commit violence/yield to that longstanding death wish/fail to answer a lot of very cross questions involving the disappearing Mark Snow". And Donnelly! I was so sad to lose him. He was so right about everything. All the way down to the invisible forces, as it turned out. If only he'd known.

I note you didn't ask about my thoughts on Detective Riley's future. Very wise.
