You mean... they can be unconnected for you.

Actually, I can tolerate "vanilla" sex, but I'm THINKING about BSDM, and if I EVER orgasm I am DEFINATELY thinking about BSDM. Do you think thoughts count?

Thoughts always count; that's how we define our reality.
Have you had good bdsm scenes (or a good bdsm dynamic) without sex necessarily being involved?

Hey, some people can't have pizza without it having meat on it (or at least thinking about it having meat on it). I respect that, though I don't share the view.

What I find annoying sometimes (and, I believe, what prompted the original post) is how some people have a preconception that bdsm is never done outside of a sexual context. I don't think you have that preconception.

I don't... but in my expierence it has always led to sex, or a sex act of some kind.

Mostly because I've really only engaged in what I would consider to be true play with the person I was dating.

I can only think of one other time that I consider to be "good" ... when it didn't lead directly to a sex act... and it did, only it was me, myself, and I after the "scene" so...

For me it is intensely sexual, so I guess this is another case of individual preferences.
