Why I like them: Because he's irrepressibly himself and he doesn't give a shit what you think of that. Because of his wit and sarcasm and humour. Because he kicks butt when he really has to but most often makes a loud case for non-violence, compassion and helping others on a crew largely made of soldiers and mercs.
Why I don’t: Oh gosh, that's hard. His being dead is obviously a downside, but that's hardly his fault. I suppose I was disappointed the way he acted with Saffron. Not that he was attracted to her on some level, but the ways he expressed it. (Quaint!)
Favorite episode (scene if movie, book, manga, etc): War Stories. Is the best Wash and best Wash/Zoe episode ever. Wash was awesome and kicked serious butt. Wash and Zoe had a fight in which they were both wrong and right. Then they worked it out. And there was no unnecessary "misunderstandings" or shit like that to create suspense or drama. Just another demonstration of how much like a real couple they are as apposed to a tv couple.
