Recipes?

Now that things have settled down a bit, I need to get back on a cooking schedule (instead of randomly grabbing whatever I can, wherever I can).

What are your favorite meals to make? Especially cheap and healthy and tasty things. Things that can be frozen in portions for easy meals to reheat would be a bonus.

I make this every weekend and have it as leftovers for the rest of the week ( ... )

ooh, both look good. And it's a funny coincidence -- I'd just been thinking about making chili so I can have chili dogs.

I second the chili/burritos thing. I frequently eat a tortilla of black beans and rice with salsa and cheese. Beans and rice will keep for the week in the fridge and it's easy to throw together in the morning. (I do however use the ones in the can... they're no homemade chili, but they're plenty tasty and low in fat and all of that). For a bonus, avocado/guacamole and a little pan-fried chicken breast makes it even more delish ( ... )

Thanks for the smoothie recipe! I think I will actually try it when I get my hands on a blender -- the one time I noticed that I had a flat stomach, it was a couple days into my attempt at the South Beach program, so I think a lot of my bulginess is probably due to, erm, my insides. Cause you can't lose enough weight to get a flat stomach in a couple days.

oh, hey, I just saw you can use a food processor, too! Maybe I will get that instead of a blender.

Yeah just make sure said food processor has a spout thing for pouring or things can get pretty messy :P
