Facebook Makes Me Sad

I just spent way too much time looking at entries on here and being surprised by how recent some of them are. The same refrain though, who knows if anyone will see this because it looks like the "Friends Page" is fucked for anything going back more than two or so weeks

facebook makes me sad too. i mostly use it as a news source. or for trolling. or uh, unkindly giggling at what people choose to share in their carefully curated image of their life. (eg really? you're talking about your baby's poop habits?)

i've been hoping for a long time people would come back to LJ. i only know 1 person who is active. i still check my friends page every week or so, hoping.

I'm in for a return to LJ. I agree with you that it's not just a change of venue but the learning of new norms about online presentation that has eroded that feeling we used to get on LJ, Hannah. I think to get any of that back, we'll have to stick to friends-only posts.
