Semester one has now come to an end, and what a great way to finish up ENGL104 with a bunch of great drama performances. I personally feel that the small drama component of the literature course enabled students to interact with one another outside of class and encouraged group involvement and collaboration of ideas, even though nearly all groups ( Read more... )

Hi Cristina,

I thought your group did an excellent performance. It certainly was a hard task as you mentioned as our group had similar problems with the language barrier. Also your comments about the accessibilty of 'Death Knocks' are pretty valid. I feel that it's a lot easier to appreciate a performance with a humourous base and one without 'too much thought' as compared to one like The Cuban Swimmer where there is a lot of emotion and subtexts. Although in saying that, the performers of Death Knocks were all outstanding in their own right, so perhaps it all evens out in the end.

Great summary of your (and your group's ) work on the drama component. Yes, I agree this was an opportunity for all to get to work with each other in a different way. Glad it worked for you in this way (despite the hiccups)
