I am so grateful. My second graders and cooperating teacher threw me a party today since my last day is on Wednesday. It was so nice! She set up a chair wrapped in streamers like the rest of the room. She had cheetos, popcorn, and chocolate chip cookies.. my favorite snacks. This weekend was nice. Chris and I went to see Saw VI, ate at Grand Lux Cafe, bought a pumpkin and roasted it's seeds, cooked a delicious seafood dinner, and watched Hot Fuzz. He left early this morning. Another step in the Navy journey. Looking forward to seeing him again for Thanksgiving though.

I know in the long run this is the better choice. It's better preparing me to have my own classroom. But seriously, this blows. Everyone is out having a great time and I have to leave because I need sleep to teach. I'm being left out of everything because of it. So I'm all moved into school in my very own room. Being an RA is a little different then I thought. Training is a little pointless. You learn more just by talking to old RA's. I've been really sad about Chris today. I missed his call which is initially what made me bummed. 3 months is a long time to have a boyfriend yet not have one at the same time. A 10 minute phone call every Sunday just doesn't seem to cut it. I can't give up after 2 1/2 years though. I just never pictured myself to be in this type of relationship. ( Read more... )

I feel like the topic is already getting old but this really sucks. The only person that can always make me happy is gone. I just found out I won't hear from him til 8-9 weeks, not 4-5 like I thought. I miss him so much.
