first, let me apologize for the elapsed time since my last chapter. i'm having a bit of difficulty and would love some advice.
i know where the story is going. everything is mapped out, and i have no doubt of how i want the story to progress. my problem is managing to write the chapter i'm on now.
it's mostly transitional. There's no real new information until the end, no majorly emotional scenes. The difficulty with that is that my mind wants to focus on the coming chapters, keeps giving me dialog for the more charged and interesting sections of the story.
For those of you who write long or chaptered fics: what do you do when this happens? How do you get yourself to focus on what needs to be written now?
and as a peace offering, a drabble:
"You won't be dissuaded, then," Pansy commented, watching him from her place on the bed. "You are truly going on with this ridiculous plan?"
"I am," Draco confirmed, checking his image one last time before turning to face her. "I need to do this."
"He isn't worth it," she argued, hopelessly.
"I wish he weren't," Draco corrected, quietly. Pansy sighed.
"Very well," she relented, standing and reaching for his hand. "I'll be here when you return."
"With chocolate?" Draco asked, smiling slightly.
"By all means," she confirmed, returning the smile. "Go on, then. I might even attain those muggle worthy blood lollies you fancy."
