Camping Redux...
I made it through the weekend and the desert/foothill air seems to have dried up my cold, despite it being damn cold at night. None of us got much sleep the first night as we realized that our 20 degree F (-7 C) sleeping bags were not warm enough. I came to the conclusion that the rating must mean that it will keep you alive down to 20 F, but not necessarily keep you warm. I have returned with gravel embedded in my right hand and my right knee is a lovely shade of blue and purple and twice its normal size. I would like to be able to say that I got hurt on the BMX bike trail or some other fun activity, but I was only pushing someone on a circular tree swing and lost my footing.
