Some people may not know, but last week I had to dump close to $500 into my car as it died in the middle of traffic, on a night when the temperature was in the single digits. Then I had to take it to two different garages to get it fixed because the first one couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, cause they're just morons. The second one ( Read more... )

I so feel your pain, and I'd gladly join you in wait-till-the-car-troubles-are-obsolete hibernation, if only I could find a handy cave!

Actually, I talked to the insurance man today and he didn't mention my deductible, and I was so happy to hear from my damn ins co that I forgot to ask if it would be covered. But it might take up to another 2 freaking days for them to go out and look at my car before they'll let me know if they're going to fix it or declare it totalled.

In the meantime, I'm driving my uncle's Intrigue again. I have rental coverage, but it's just a hassle I don't want right now.
