Somewhat. It was mostly offset by a combination of incompetence and bitchines though.
She was also an example of why petite women should not be allowed to act as police officers if they are not extremely self confident. For example, she would not permit me to stand, and I had to interact with her sitting down. If you can't talk to a jaywalking suspect while they stand, that's a problem.
Yeah. It's pretty messed up. When I suggested it was odd that I was receiving a "moving violation" as a pedestrian, and indicated that I would fight it (honestly, it depends how lazy I'm feeling), she more or less tried to convince me to pay the fine when it arrived and go to traffic school.
This is hilarious to me because, after 5 minutes of research, I have found out that this is a moving violation that carries 0 points(the whole pedestrian thing). Therefore, it is NOT eligible for traffic school, because there are no points to negate. I don't expect cops to be lawyers, but I'd prefer they have a basic knowledge of simple violations.
Who knows. It's the usual CA deal where they send you a fine later. The ticket is a mess though. The address is wrong, and it never calls out that I was a pedestrian, it just neglects vehicle details. Probably worth contesting ;)
